Martial Paths - Black Belt Studies

Black Belt Studies are the full Martial Arts experience.

A student can expect to train in class twice a week in Chito-ryu Karate and Canadian Jiu-Jitsu. Each class will consist of Kihon, Kata, Kumite and Randori.

There will be a corresponding Children’s Class. Children from this class or the Kid’s Initiative Program will graduate into the Black Belt Studies adult class before applying for Black Belt Trials.

We follow a traditional belt system denoting experiences in the martial arts. Starting with White, a student will progress to Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Brown and then Black. All Black belt applicants must be at least 16 years of age.

Regular examinations will occur and promotion will depend on attitude, effort, physicality and execution and understanding of prescribed skillsets.

This curriculum has been sanctioned by the Snow Tigers Martial Arts Association, the Canadian Jiu-Jitsu Council and the Kai-Shin Karate Association. It has been taught to children in Eastern Ontario for over 44 years and Martial Paths is proud to carry on this tradition.
